Jean de La Fontaine
Jean de La Fontaine was born in 1621 and is one of the most widely read French author and poet of the 17th century. His Fables were published between 1668 and 1694, and were originally written for adults but later became a required learning for children at school. This year, each French Year 6 student have been given a copy to encourage them to read more.
